Despite being pre-approved almost as soon as we were given a contract, now that we’re getting closer to the deadline for the new house, the lender has decided that I’m a seasonal worker. As if I pick oranges or work as a mall Santa. So I’m arguing with them that, like I said in the beginning of the process, all staffing is not the same. IT contractors do 6 month contracts all the time, it doesn’t mean I need to wait until planting season next year to get another paycheck. I’ve been doing contract work since 2005. It sucks, but it sure as hell ain’t “seasonal work.”
